These days I came back to Barcelona to spend Christmas with my family, and taking advantage decided that I'm here i decided to photograph the herbarium of my mother, that is beautiful. She did it in 1977, so there are many herbs that are very worn, but still keeps its charm.

«The Piet Hein Eek»

Today we have been working in the restaurant Piet Hein Eek, a Dutch designer who studied at the Design Academy of Eindhoven. He has based his philosophy on the reuse of waste items, began collecting pieces of wood, and today, he wants to create a house of waste materials only.

The restaurant that is lost in the middle of nowhere is just amazing, has high ceilings, large windows, an exquisite furniture and a relaxed atmosphere. It's carefully detailed! This place is perfect for meeting friends and having long talks, or maybe read or work.

«Let it Snow»

This is my street. Last friday night, just when we were leaving Jing's house, it started to snow. Since then there's snow all around Eindhoven, and it's beginning to be very cold!! Despite this terrible cold (the street is a damn freezer!) all is very nice! :)

Within 15 days I'll arrive to Barcelona, to rest from the cold and celebrate Christmas with my family and friends (I'm looking forward!) for now I have prepared a good
X-Mas playlist in Spotify (always with a bit of humor ...), to warm things up... I do not forget our "X-mas ugly sweaters party!"

«Krabbedans Exhibition»

Another highly recommended place to go if you are these days in Eindhoven, is the
Krabbedans Shop. Here we can see mostly an exhibition of fashion and textiles design, but there is a little bit of graphic and product design mixed too.

Among other things we can see suits made with tights or latex shoes. Also a very elaborate dresses made with a lot of small pieces and uncommon fabrics.

This store is located just behind the Design Academy and it is an ideal route if you're in the area.

More projects from the graduation show designed by the students of the Design Academy during this year.

The 23th of October started the Design Week here in Eindhoven. During the first day we went to the Design Academy to see the graduation show of this year. There's so much to see and when we realized that it was the closing time, we only had seen half floor from two that are. So we had to go elsewhere and leave the rest of the exhibition for another day.

These days there are so many wonderful events and exhibitions spaces (almost all are unfinished buildings) throughout the city, so I'm going to put more pictures showing what are creating the young Dutch design promises, and from the already known
Dutch Design Week.

«Some music comes from the cellar»

«Last day in Amsterdam»

Last Thursday we went to Amsterdam to see an installation by the artist
Krijn de Koning, in De Nieuwe Kerk, a church enabled to expose all kinds of artworks. The installation was in the mid-height of a church, this give you the possibility to see certain points and perspectives that in a normal height are difficult to see. This is a space with lots of painted walls, windows and doors that show the different and colorful contiguous rooms.

Then we went to an exhibition of the books from the designer
Irma Boom. There is shown her biography in books, at the Universiteit Van Amsterdam. The exhibition is very beautiful, because apart of her books you can check her references, inspirations and also you can see notes written in pencil on the wall by the same author. (The last picture on this post does not belong to a book designed by her, but you can see it in the exhibition, and I think that is very nice). If you go to Amsterdam, I recommend you to go and see it.

It had been a beautiful day, after going to these two places we went to eat, and then returned to college to continue working! Exhausting but well spent!

«First time»

My first visit to Amsterdam was a couple of weeks ago. These days I have no internet, and that's why I took so long to upload photos (there are still those of Antwerpen and a few others ...). I liked so much Amsterdam and hope to return soon to look around corners, alleys, museums (there are so many!!!) and these little shops hidden in the city that I love.

«Volendam»

Ahhh!!! Por cierto!!! han publicado una entrada sobre mi trabajo en The Science of Design!! :)

These days I've been going up and down between Amsterdam, Antwerpen, Utrecht, Breda, and one of the called water villages, Volendam. Each one of them has its own charm!

During these days I'll be uploading pictures I've been doing... and please, forgive my last and big obsession with this kind of pictures which don't actually see anything, but they have a magical touch! also it's super fun to shoot through this lens, because it's very difficult to control how it'll be the picture! et voilà!

Ahhh!!! By the way!!! it has been published a post about my work in The Science of Design!! :)
