«Mi último día en Eindhoven»

Hoy ha sido mi último día en Eindhoven, mañana a las 6 de la mañana estaré yendo hacia el aeropuerto de camino a Barcelona.

Today has been my last day in Eindhoven, tomorrow at 6 am I'll be going to the airport back to Barcelona.

Estas últimas semanas han sido muy estresantes para mí, entre las presentaciones para Atelier (que parecía que nunca iba a acabarse), las últimas cenas y fiestas con los amigos, recogerlo todo y hacer las maletas, prácticamente no he tenido tiempo para sentarme y descansar. En las fotos se ve la escuela uno de los primeros días (que vacía!), y otras dos están hechas durante el último día (como se puede ver, nada en comparación, parecía que hubiese pasado un tornado o algo similar...).

This last weeks had been very stressful to me, between presentations for Atelier (which seemed that it was never going to end), the last dinners, parties with friends, clean up and packing all my stuff, I hardly had time to sit and rest. In the pictures you can see the school one of the first days (so empty!), and two others made during the last day (as you can see, nothing in comparison, it seems that has been a tornado or something similar inside...).

Hoy por la mañana cuando me he levantado y he salido a hacer café, me he encontrado con un "kit" de muñecas japonesas y una carta junto a éste. Para Marta, ponía. Mi compañera de piso ha sido un encanto des de que nos conocimos, y hoy a pesar de que no nos hemos podido despedir, ha tenido otro detalle hacia mí!! Estas muñecas se ponen en Japón el día 3 de Marzo, para la celebración del Hinamatsuri, el día de las niñas. Me cuenta que ellos lo hacen como nosotros ponemos el árbol por Navidad.

Bueno, me despido de Eindhoven con este último post. Lo que que más hecharé de menos, está claro, es la maravillosa gente que he conocido aquí (y que espero visitar pronto otra vez).

This morning when I woke up and got out of my room to make coffee, I found a "kit" of Japanese dolls and a letter beside it. For Marta, was written. My roommate has been very nice and charm since we met, and today even though we couldn't say goodbye each other, she had another detail to me! These dolls are placed in Japan on March 3, for the celebration of Hinamatsuri, the day of the girls. She tells me that they do it as we put the Christmas tree.

Well, I say goodbye to Eindhoven with this post. What I will miss more, of course, is the wonderful people I have met here (and that I hope to visit them again very soon).

«Synesthesia»

Estos son los últimos días que me quedan en Eindhoven, el día 10 tengo la presentación final y el 16 ya vuelvo a Barcelona! Creo que el estrés de ésta escuela ha hecho que todo se me pase mucho más rápido...

Aún así he disfrutado mucho conociendo a gente nueva de todas partes del mundo, abriendo mi mente a nuevas maneras de trabajar y a otros campos en el mundo del diseño.

Pongo ésta animación que hice durante la primera mitad del semestre, me hubiese gustado poner más fotos de más cosas que he hecho aquí, pero la luz en la escuela es malísima, y sumándole que Holanda es un país con relativamente poca luz, las fotos no salieron como a mí me gustaría, por tanto iré poniendo trabajos en cuando tenga tiempo de fotografiarlos bien.

La animación trata de explicar lo que es la sinestésia (una condición que se da en el cerebro de algunas personas, las cuales mezclan sus sentidos) mediante metáforas visuales y sonidos.

These are the last days here in Eindhoven, the 10th I have my last presentation and the 16th of February I'll come back to Barcelona! I think that the stress in this school has done that everything had gone faster than I expected...

Even though I really enjoyed meeting new people from all over the world, opening my mind to new ways of working and other fields in the world of design.

I post this animation I made during the first half of the semester, I'd liked to make more entries with more photos of all the stuff I've done here, but the light at the school is terrible, and adding that the Netherlands is a country with relatively low light, the photos aren't very good, therefore I'll put more work when I have time to photograph it all well.

The animation tries to explain what is synesthesia (a condition that have some people, who mix their senses) through visual metaphors and sounds.
